Ginger is an affectionate, sweet little gal who came to BRBCR from a shelter in WV. She is playful, gentle, and already crate trained. She appears to be housebroken, and she is quite calm and laid back in the house. Outside, she loves to run and play.
Little Ginger’s sleek body looks all Border collie; her cute face and eyes look to be part Spaniel.
She is an exuberant girl, and warms up quickly to everyone, with a friendly tail wag for visitors. She is very good with other dogs. She has not yet been evaluated with young children, but would be great for a family with older kids.
Ginger wants to play with her foster family’s cats and chickens, but is not aggressive with them. She is learning to “leave it” and “come” while on her foster family’s farm. She has some herding instincts when around livestock, but is not a high drive dog. She will make an exceptional pet, but still will need plenty of exercise and walks in her new home.
She is a little on the thin side, but is eating well and gaining weight. She is already spayed, HW negative, and has had all her shots.
Ginger is in a foster home near Staunton, VA. Please fill out an online application; you may contact this dog's foster family at clarmayholsteins@yahoo.com. *** Click Here to Apply to Adopt Ginger! ***
